NIH Will Issue New Questions for Research Performance Progress Report

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has announced it will issue new Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) questions as part of the NIH Data Management and Sharing (DMS) Policy.

The NIH plans to implement the new questions for annual RPPRs submitted on or after October 1, 2024.

The questions will align with the NIH Final Policy on Data Management and Sharing and will include updates on the status of data sharing, repositories, and unique identifiers for data that have been shared.

The new questions will be released after they are approved by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA).
