NIH Cloud Lab Offers $500 in Credits for Researchers to Explore Cloud Capabilities

Researchers interested in learning about cloud capabilities can check out the NIH Cloud Lab, a new program that allows researchers affiliated with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to explore the cloud at no cost in a secure, NIH-approved environment.

Participants in the 90-day program can sign up and receive an account with $500 of Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure credits.

The account also includes access to curated bioinformatics tutorials and support from NIH technical and bioinformatics experts. Participants will also receive weekly emails with tips and recommendations for success.

The program is open to all NIH-affiliated researchers and NIH staff. This includes researchers at institutions that are eligible for NIH funding but who do not yet have an active award.

If you have questions, send them to cloudlab@nih.gov.
